On
Tuesday 12 th June, Tony Juniper paid a flying visit to see his
old childhood haunts and what had been happening since he visited
last almost thirty years ago. He was appalled to see the devastation
of Lakes H/I which, for some strange reason known only to RWE NPower,
have been included with Thrupp and Bullfield Lakes as part of a
Country Wildlife Site. Incursions into the annals of
Oxfordshire County Council reveal some strange goings on in this
respect.
Following
his visit, Tony Juniper made a call to the Bill Heine programme
on Radio Oxford to sound his disquiet over the situation.

release.
