Oxfordshire County Council planning and regulation committee met on the 16th July to discuss the three conditions which had remained unapproved from the previous meeting.  At the earlier meeting, the councillors had decided to have the conditions brought back for further discussion rather than allow the officers to deal with the matter with "delegated powers"  Perhaps some of the committee could see where the delegated powers had led them - some councillors had lost their seats in the May election because of the Radley Lakes issues.

However, the amount of discussion was one again sparse and the Officers, faced with a legal challenge from Public Law Solicitors in Birmingham, on behalf of Save Radley Lakes, that a further EIA was needed because the amended plans were outside the original application area was brushed aside by the Chairman of the Council.

In his haste to get home for his tea, the committee agreed to let the officers have their own way with the three remaining conditions, and thus deny any further public involvement in the issue.

The legal challenge remains on the table.  It has been served on Oxfordshire County Council to remind them of their responsibilities to the ratepayers of this County, that they should not bend over backwards to accommodate big Business.
